Organisation of vocational training

An unemployed woman, a jobseeker or a woman without a regular source of income may contact the mahalla women’s activist, the assistant to the hokim or the district/city poverty reduction and employment department.

Training may be provided by:

• vocational education organisations;
• “Ishga marhamat” mono-centres and vocational training centres;
• authorised non-state educational organisations;
• women’s employment and health promotion centres.

The training field is selected according to the woman’s interests and abilities, available vacancies and local labour-market demand.

Payment of training costs

Training costs for women included in the “Women’s Register” or identified as unemployed may be covered through a state order, voucher, grant or the State Employment Promotion Fund.

Training funds are not paid to the woman in cash. They are transferred to cover the relevant educational organisation’s costs.

After completing a course, the woman may receive assistance with employment, self-employment or starting a business. Where the statutory conditions are met, she may also apply for a subsidy to purchase equipment and work tools.

The procedure is regulated by Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 183, Resolution No. 145 and Resolution No. 650.
